Canara Bank Organises Cluster Meet

In pursuance of the mandate issued by the Ministry of MSME to empower small and medium enterprises all over India, the Canara Bank organized a dynamic MSME Cluster Meet in one of the clusters identified by the Ministry. It was held on December 6, 2024, in Gandhinagar/Shankarnagar, Delhi, and was well attended by the local traders and businessmen.

Collective approach towards development

The dignitaries present in the MSME Cluster Meet included Chief General Manager of Canara Bank, Regional Chairman of Gems and Jewellery Northern Zone, and Chairman of Shadra South one MCD.  Canara Bank team who demonstrates great poise and precision in handling sessions to ensure good discussion and presentation flows.

The general objective of the meet is cross-unit collaboration between financial institutions and MSMEs to address specific key challenges including:

  • Low-cost access to credit.
  • Increase infrastructural support to local businesses.
  • New prospect of modernization and digitalization.
  • Participation and Involvement

More than 200 traders attended the meeting. There was a representation from various industries, and this even hints at a booming entrepreneurial spirit in the region.

Major Issues Discussed During the Meeting

Interactive Sessions: Experts from Canara Bank and other agencies conducted open discussions with the traders to understand their needs and offered tailor-made financial solutions.

Policy News: The latest government policies for MSMEs were also shared, keeping participants abreast of the schemes that might help their businesses.
