It’s kind of like a mini podcast that’s just for you. As of now, ‘Daily Listen’ is available for Android and iOS users in the US.

What is ‘Daily Listen’?

It utilizes ‘Daily Listen,’ which employs AI in developing audio updates that summarize the topics based on your search history and Discover feed. The feature allows you a fast way of getting updated with news that you care most about.

The audio contains:

  • A short, five-minute episode.
  • A text transcript of the audio.
  • Links to related stories for deeper exploration.

It’s similar to NotebookLM’s “Audio Overview” but more condensed and tailored.

How to Access ‘Daily Listen’ : To use ‘Daily Listen,’ do the following:

  • Open the Google app on your Android or iOS device.
  • Tap the Search Labs icon (a triangular beaker in the top-left corner).
  • Enable ‘Daily Listen.’
  • Wait for a day. The ‘Daily Listen’ card will appear under the Google Search bar in the “Space” carousel.
  • Tap the card to hear your personalized audio news.

  • Interactive Player: The player displays sections with a scrubber, play/pause controls, and playback speed options.
