India vs South Africa 3rd T20: India thrashes South Africa by 11 runs in thrilling T20 battle

India won a thriller by 11 runs over South Africa. This came in the third T20 match at Centurion. They took a 2-1 lead in the series. India set a target of 220 runs. Their bowlers restricted South Africa to 208 for 7 wickets in 20 overs. The match was stopped for nearly half an hour because of flying ants.

South Africa came into a good innings because of Marco Johnson’s 54 off just 17 balls. Heinrich Klaasen, batting at 41 off 22 balls, Rickelton at 20 off 15 balls, and skipper Aiden Markram with 29 off 18 balls all contributed to make it a better day for South Africa. However, India’s bowling remained potent. Arshdeep Singh delivered the LBW which changed the game of Johnson and sealed the deal for India.

India’s bowling unit came into the picture as Arshdeep Singh took 3 wickets for 37 runs. Varun Chakravarthy took 2 wickets for 54 runs and Axar Patel as well as Hardik Pandya each took a wicket. The match has had great fielding also. Axar Patel picked an important catch by Miller but Suryakumar Yadav dropped the easy catch of Klaasen at 29.

Earlier, India hammered a massive total of 219/6 in 20 overs and this came incredibly well from Tilak Verma with his unbeaten century and quick half-century by Abhishek Sharma. Two bowlers from South Africa who got 2 wickets one by Simlen and another from Keshav Maharaj. This Indian victory puts psychological pressure on South Africa while going into the fourth game. The great show from India and a 2-1 lead make India favorites to win the series in the final game.
