India Women make history in Rajkot ODI by comprehensively crushing Ireland in the third and final match of the series, marking a clean sweep.

Rajkot: India women put up their best performance during the match, making it a great day for Indian cricket as they played outstandingly well by winning the match against Ireland by 304 runs, which ensures them a clean victory when it comes to the series. These astounding innings of match bring India multiple milestones.

In a span of 50 overs, Indian women made a total of 435 runs with 5 wickets. This exhilarating score is now marked as the fourth highest score ever reached in women’s ODI, sitting just behind New Zealand’s 491 for 4 against Ireland in 2018. With this, it made India the third ever team, along Australia and New Zealand, competing in women’s ODIs to score above the 400 mark

  • Smriti Mandhana: 135 (80)—She holds the record for the fastest hundred in One Day Internationals scoring within 70 balls.

Mandhana and Rawal put up a jaw-dropping opening partnership of 233 runs, which stands as the third-best wicketstand India has achieved in ODIs. Mandhana made sure to set the stage ablaze with 12 fours and seven sixes; while Rawal’s great performance made her shine above the rest with 20 fencing boundaries and a single six.

Post Mandhana’s dismissal Richa Ghosh also was extraordinary with her batting skills, scoring 59 off 42 and forming a partnership of 104 runs with Rawal. . Tejal Hasabnis (28) and Harleen Deol (15) put the final touch to help India post impressive score.

Bowling Demeanour

India’s bowlers had an impressive performance as well and managed to take down Ireland for merely 131 runs in just 31.4 overs.
