“It was inspiring to be present at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. I undergo while Snan at the Sangam—I feel the connection to the divinity, and like millions others who undergo this divine regimen, I do feel completely transformed at the end of it. I pray that Maa Ganga showers her grace on all of us to enable peace, wisdom, good health, and love amongst us all.”
Blessed to be at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. The Snan at the Sangam is a moment of divine connection, and like the crores of others who have taken part in it, I was also filled with a spirit of devotion.

Dressed in a saffron sweatshirt and tracksuit, PM Modi first offered prayers at the Triveni Sangam. Holding rudraksha beads, he chanted mantras and later performed an aarti, dressed in a navy blue kurta, black jacket, and a Himachali woolen cap.
For the ritual, the Prime Minister, along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, embarked on a boat journey from Areal Ghat to the Maha Kumbh site. Thousands of worshippers were present for the holy ceremony, singing praises and making offerings.

PM Modi’s trek to Maha Kumbh is timed with the Delhi assembly elections, for which his party, the BJP, is trying to stop the AAP from winning a third term in a row. Before leaving for the holy dip, PM Modi urged Delhi voters to participate actively in the elections.
“I urge the voters to take part in this festival of democracy with full enthusiasm and cast their valuable vote,” he posted in Hindi on X.
